Inside View of Colzium House Main Hall

W Mackay Lennox bought Colzium House in 1930 and upon his retiral as Town Clerk he presented the House and Policies to Kilsyth Burgh, now part of North Lanarkshire, in memory of his Mother. The House has been reconditioned and now comprises of a suite of rooms available for functions of all kinds and also includes a small museum of local history.

This venue is highly recommended for functions of a special nature. Situated in the Colzium Lennox Estate with its idyllic settings, Colzium House makes the perfect place for an intimate wedding. Guests to the estate can hold their wedding in the rooms downstairs then proceed to the gardens for photographic opportunities and upwards to the first floor to the banquet room for the reception. The small downstairs room can be used for a private place for the bride and storage for any presents received on the day. Having the house to yourself on your day makes this venue particularly special.

This venue is also suitable for making lasting impressions with business events, such as conferences, seminars and as an interview location.

Colzium House has one main hall, which is situated on the first floor and can hold a maximum of 100 persons for a dinner dance or disco. There is a stage at the rear of the hall and a bar on the first floor also. In addition to this there are 3 rooms available for hire, all of which are on the ground floor. Two of the rooms available can cater for a maximum of 30 persons and the bride's room is recommended for a maximum of 10 persons.

Each room in the house overlooks the beautiful surrounding gardens and in the centre of the house there is water feature and courtyard where guests can feel free to wander.

Kitchen facilities complement main hall requirements, and are ideal for catering or hired caterers to work from or can be used simply for heating food for the purpose of a hot buffet. There is also a large free-standing fridge available for use, if required.

Colzium Lennox Estate is situated in Kilsyth just off the A803.  There are half-hourly  bus services from Glasgow, to Falkirk, and Stirling which pass the main entrance of the estate. There are also parking facilities available on the estate.

Disabled Access

There are disabled access points and disabled toilets to the ground floor of Colzium House but if access is required to the upstairs of the house, it is recommended that guests bear in mind that there are no lifts or toilet facilities situated on the first floor.
