Kilsyth Sports and Leisure Clubs

Kilsyth has a number of very active sports clubs and associations, with many sports represented at a high level, including boxing, tae kwon do, pool, bowling, fishing, swimming, curling, and soccer.

Scottish Tae Kwon Do enthusiasts swept the board at recent UK championships Kilsyth's superb modern swimming pool is within a minute of the town centre - RK  sailing on Banton Loch, R Chalmers

XS Tae Kwon Do which trains at Broadwood stadium between Cumbernauld and Kilsyth, won many of the top awards at the 2007 UK championships in Stratford, coming overall third place. They also rated highly at the 2007 Scottish championships on 19th May. Centre: Kilsyth's modern swimming pool is within a minute of the town centre. Right - sailing on Banton Loch, R Chalmers.

Climbing - Auchinstarry Quarry
Auchinstarry climbing quarry is on the Kilsyth - Croy road. This quarry is on the Kilsyth - Croy road.

 

 

This quarry is on the Kilsyth - Croy road. Nice setting, own car-park, pond to fish/fall in. Home to Nijinski and some other really technical climbs. Lots of routes in the middle grades, too. Perfect for an evening in the sunshine.

Walk a few yards, and you can fish the Forth and Clyde canal for your supper. Fish aren't biting? - try a long and testing cycle ride up the Kilsyth hills    

Or an easy one along the canal.

Or if that all sounds like too much excitement, check out the canoeing on the canal just a few yards away. Or go for a hike along the Antonine way... Otherwise try the following clubs and venues:
