POTHOLING WEEKEND IN THE YORKSHIRE DALES - JUNE 2008

On June 14th/15th (Fathers day) we went potholing and climbing in the Yorkshire Dales.

caving party

We went potholing on Saturday 14th June. There were five children and four adults. We went to Long Churn Cave, and explored the underground streamway until we came to an underground waterfall and a pool.

On Sunday 15th June we went rock climbing.

The climbing was hard, but we all got up in the end.

Fellwalking in Scotland

On May 25th five grown ups and five children climbed Ben Lomond (974 metres)  - in splendid sunny bank holiday weather. On the way we were lucky enough to see the Scottish Cup on its way to the summit as part of a fundraising stunt by Rangers Charities foundation . Jordan was especially happy to get his hands on the Cup as he watched Rangers win the Cup the previous day at Hamden!
