Sapna Jobanputra is a artist and teacher for the Scottish Academy of Asian Arts, who has studied her craft since a very early age.
Bharata Natyam stems from a long history of temple dance and is a classical dance form originating in the south of India.
Although a classical dance teacher, Sapna's repertoire is extensive and she also includes folk dances in her performances. For the festival, she performed one of these traditional, but colourful and exciting, folk dances from the Gujarati area of India.
